SE z610i - Rain Rain Go Away

Like the rain that was pouring almost throughout the day, my hopes of getting to the business end of the singles tournament was washed away. It was really difficult to play in the rain, as only the slightest of slip ups can result in an injury. It has even claimed one of our players, who scraped his knee pretty badly on the playing surface.

Tomorrow will be the start of the doubles tournament. I hope that my partner and I can work together and give the other teams a run for their money.

SE z610i - I'm off

I'm currently on the bus heading towards Muadzam Shah where the tournament is going to be held. I'm glad to say that I've managed to overcome the stomach virus and I'm starting to slowly regain my energy. Let's hope that it gets fully recovered or near full by the time my first match tomorrow starts.

By the way, the last time I went there, I did not get any reception on my phone. I really hope that this isn't the case this time around, or it'll be very troublesome having to borrow a friend's phone everytime I need to make a call or send a text message. Not to mention I wouldn't be able to post any updates whilst I'm there.

Down and out?

There's 2 days left before the college's tennis tournament starts. It was just my luck that I've managed to contract a stomach virus of some sorts, sapping at least 80% of my energy and rendering me very weak. There's still a full day of recovery tomorrow, but unless a miracle happens, I'll never get back to full health in time.

The weekend review

This is kinda like SportsCenter, where they give the weekend updates on Monday nights. Not much going on around the weekends though. I managed to stub my pinky toe and now I can't walk properly. Good thing it's recovering and does not effect tennis sessions that much. I also found out the my limit when it comes to tennis sessions and rest (3 days in a row is the maximum I can go)

There was also the Carling Cup final between Chelsea and Spurs. That was a rather entertaining game, with the heavy underdogs coming out triumphant. I know at least 3 friends who are loyal fans of Spurs, and they must've been smiling from ear to ear over the outcome of the match. Congratulations to them, although I gotta ask this question: what would've happened if The Special One was still in charge? In my opinion, they'd have sealed the deal and won it.

Tennis sessions continues, with some of the big names in the UNITEN tennis scene joining in practice. The tourney will be held this upcoming weekend, so there's only 3 or 4 days of training left. It's GO time, and whoever can't keep up will be left behind.

Night train II

This is a continuation of yesterday's post, sorta. It will chronicle my experience on the said train.

When the train finally came, I was stuck in the worse position imaginable: an equal distance between one door to the next door nearest to me. being tired and not wanting to go with the mob, I sought out the train carriage at the end, which had less people "queuing" up to enter. I ended up just inside the doors when it closed, and it was really crowded.

When you spend time having to work to stand up properly, it doesn't give you much time to think of doing anything else. I had my DS in my pocket, but there was no way I could manage to sneak some gaming time on the train. People around me were doing their own stuff, and I noticed that a lot of them had earphones connected to their mobile phones.I wished I had brought my earphones too.

On the topic of listening to music on your phones, why do some people turn up the volume way too high. There was this one guy who had his music so loud that I could hear it clearly, even though I was a good few meters away from him. Don't these people fear being deaf? His music was even louder than the sound of the train running along its tracks.

All in all, the journey on the train wasn't really comfortable, and I was relieved when I finally reached my destination. Note to self: avoid night trains, unless I get on at a less crowded station.

SE z610i - Night train

I am suddenly reminded of why I have taking the train at night. There's just so many people. By the time that I've taken that picture and typed this out, the number of humans have easily doubled.

But what else can I do? The only car that I have at my disposal is a Mitsubishi Pajero V6, which eats up fuel like a person started for days. Additionally, there's also the tolls to deal with, so logically, this is a better choice.

Another thing that I dislike is the wait time. How I miss my Kancil.

Invitation

Yesterday, I received a wedding invitation from one of my friends from college. She was one of the first ladies I had talked to in college, and we became good friends. I learnt a lot from her, and in return, I taught her how to improve her English.

I kinda drifted apart from everyone in college, due to personal reasons, so I haven't seen her in months. In fact, if I do decide to attend her wedding, it'll be 4-5 months since I last saw her.

Here's to a happy and blissful life, my friend.
